Jamie Moore Talk

Overall, I felt that Jamie Moore’s talk was extremely informative. He gave a very solid run down of the foods that the school consumes, although some more than others. For example, he had  multiple slides on milk, yet skipped over beef and pork producers very quickly. I was unaware if this was to attempt to save face or if he just saw milk and chickens as a more interesting point, yet either way I wanted him to speak about them a little more. He seemed to be very set on the idea that the third, new way of mass chicken farming was the only option. I felt that this attitude was not the best in approaching sustainable farming, as if the consumer wants organic, completely free range chicken, there is a way to match that need. If the company is settled on something it is up to the consumers to change it.
