My AHA moment occurred when I decided to look at green roofs for my project idea. While I was researching my college(Fort Lewis College) and trying to find a project I came upon green roofs. I instantly realized this is what I wanted to study, as I can find tons of connections between both UNE and my home. The Javtis center in NYC is a big supporter of green roofs, with their roof arguably being the greatest commercial roof in America. This connection allowed for me to dive fully into the green roof initiative, making this case study very enjoyable.
